How to Install a DoubleVision Mirror
Installation Instructions for a 3 or 4 Speed Transmission:
1. Determine the mirror location. You will need a 7/16” hole (approximately) above the mirror stem, for the wire to run through. Make sure that after the hole is drilled or cut, all sharp edges are removed from around the hole. (Be careful not to drill the hole through the roof). 2. Drill two holes for the two screws supplied, or use your own screws. Screw the mirror into place. 3. Feed the wire from the mirror stem through the hole and down either windshield post so that you can splice the wires from the transmission switch and the mirror together. 4. The yellow wire from the mirror should be run to a ground screw somewhere on the frame. The drive gear lights in the mirror receive power from the transmission switch wires. 5. DAKOTA DIGITAL SWITCH: Mount the switch as per instructions. 6. RON FRANCIS WIREWORKS SWITCH: Mount the switch as per instructions and run the wire up to the mirror wires. The yellow wire should go to the ‘0’ in the mirror (the pink mirror wire). The red wire from the switch should go to a fused power source. Wires From Mirror: (Note: The ‘O’ is not used on a 3-speed transmission) Green Wire: Park Black Wire: Neutral Orange Wire: Drive Brown Wire: #1 Blue Wire: #2 White Wire: Reverse Pink Wire: Overdrive (connect to the yellow wire on the Ron Francis Wireworks transmission switch) The tan wire is not used and is usually cut off at the factory. Purple Wire: Left Hand Turn Signal Gray Wire: Right Hand Turn Signal Red Wire: High Beam Lights Got questions? Call toll free 888.881.4452. CONGRATULATIONS!
